are we falling or flying?

on a recent trip to the attic i found this beaded dress that my mom wore to a wedding a while back.  i love the detailed beading and the open back, but it was really long.  i didn't want to sew a new hem because the beads are really heavy and the stitches i sewed would probably pop, so i knotted the lining and tucked the beading into the knot.  it worked out pretty well and brought the length up to a relatively normal height for me.  then i knotted an old rope belt to give it shape because the dress was a little big.  the earrings are from macys, i've had them for a year or so.  i love the look of a high neckline in front and an open back! i wish i had more occasions to wear this dress too.
